Some moments leave a scent behind forever, a feeling on your skin, a sound in your ears.

For some it’s the smell of the coloured pencils we had as kids, for others the song of one happy summer. Or the crisp air at the end of September, when everything is about to end and, at the same time, everything is about to begin.

I hope you’ll find that feeling again in a photograph. Whenever you want.

Where we work

Northern Italy. And beyond

We’re based in Brescia, right between Lake Garda, Lake Iseo and the Franciacorta wine hills: the places we know best, and where most of our weddings happen. Lake Como, Verona, the Dolomites or a little village you found on a map? Just ask.

Some of the venues we’ve worked at

Villa Zaccaria · Villa Calini · Villa Monte Rossa · La Corte e il Sogno · La Sosta · Cascina Margherita · Villa Fiordaliso · Due Colombe · Castello Oldofredi · Hotel Laurin · Tenuta Acquaviva · Villa Affaitati · Bersi Serlini · Villa Fassati Barba · Convento dell’Annunciata · Palazzo Gambara · Castello di Marne · La Colombara · Villa Labirinto · Corte Piovanelli · Ristorante Carlo Magno · Portico del Seminario · Relais Franciacorta · Barboglio de Gaioncelli · Museo di Santa Giulia · Castello di Rossino · Vivilo al Priore

How we work

Reportage first

We won’t ask you to redo the kiss because we weren’t ready. Your wedding goes the way it goes, and we’re there to tell it.

But we’re not purists

We also take a moment just for the two of you: a few more careful portraits, no stiff poses, no awkwardness. It’s often the first time you actually breathe all day.

Two of us, almost always

Ilaria, my partner in life and work, and I photograph together: two different eyes on the same day, and no moment lost because we were on the other side of the room.

We won’t disappear after the “I do”

We talk before, to get to know each other and plan the day. We’re there during, obviously. And we’re there after, until the photos are in your hands.

Roberto Cesari Photo, fotografo di matrimonio a Brescia

Snob-free since 1990

Behind the camera

Without boring you too much: I’m Roberto, a wedding photographer since 2016. If you’d like to meet me, you’ll most likely meet Ilaria too, my partner in life and work.

I started taking pictures at sixteen, then, in true “you can’t make a living from photography” fashion, I tried studying something else. I never fell in love with it the same way.

When we’re not behind the camera, you’ll find us on the motorbike or travelling around in our van. And then there’s little Leo, not even one year old: the only person we ever ask to pose. With very poor results.

More about us

You’ll probably like us if…

…in ten years you want to look at your photos and remember how it really was, not how it was supposed to be.

…you’re looking for someone who only does weddings. We don’t do anything else, and that’s a choice.

…a coffee is enough to get to know each other. We decided we don’t need a studio with a nice sofa: we travel a lot, we’re always on the move, and we’d rather meet for a drink or a video call.

Delivery, albums and prints

After the wedding

No waiting forever

Your photos are usually ready in about two months.

We won’t just send you the memory card

We carefully choose the images that truly tell the story of your day, and we edit every single one before handing it over.

Albums and prints, only if you want them

You don’t have to get an album or a fine art photo box: they’re extras that matter, but for us the heart is still the photographic story.

Reviews

Kind words

Sara & Mauro

Wedding at La Corte e il Sogno

“From the very start Roberto understood what we wanted: present but never intrusive, natural and true shots, even for people who aren’t used to being in front of a camera, making us feel at ease (even in the couple moments).

In the months before the wedding he was always there to answer every question and give us his advice. The delivery time for the whole work was incredible, without compromising the quality!”

Nicola & Nicola

Wedding at Villa Zaccaria

“I think looking at Roberto and Ilaria’s photographs is enough to see how much passion, care and professionalism they put into their work… Every time we flip through those images, the emotions of that day come back to life: the nerves before the ceremony, the tears, the joy, the fun, the love of our families and friends.

We chose him for his simplicity, empathy and humanity… It was easy to open up to him, share confidences, ask for advice.”

Francesca & Alessandro

Wedding at Villa Fiordaliso

“Looking at Roberto’s work was enough to know he was the right photographer for our big day. He also gave us advice while we were preparing for the wedding, and it was like having one more friend.

Alessandro and I are endlessly grateful to him for understanding us, and for capturing the most beautiful emotions and the less obvious ones too.”

    F.A.Q.

    The usual questions

    How much does it cost?

For a full wedding day with two photographers, the range is roughly €2,000 to €2,800: it depends on where it takes place, the travel, the getting ready and the hours. Here we explain it with the actual numbers.

    Do you speak English?

Yes! Well… let’s say our English is honest and full of goodwill, maybe not exactly Shakespeare. But don’t worry: we’ll understand each other just fine, with a few words, some gestures and plenty of smiles. After all, our real language is photography, and that one we speak fluently.

How far in advance should we book?

The sooner, the better: dates are taken in order of arrival. If someone else has already asked us for your same date, we’ll tell you honestly.

Can we meet before the wedding?

Of course, we actually care about it. A coffee, a drink or a video call, which is often the easiest way if you live abroad. We don’t have a studio: we only do weddings and travel a lot, so we meet wherever suits you best.

    Do you travel?

Yes, and gladly. Our base is Brescia, but we travel often: two backpacks and off we go. Lake Garda, Lake Iseo, Franciacorta and the rest of Northern Italy are our home ground, but we also follow couples further away.

    What about video?

We work with videographers we trust. We plan everything beforehand, even all together with you, so on the day the work is coordinated and nobody steps on anyone’s toes.
