Same-sex wedding at Villa Zaccaria · Bordolano

We met Nicola and Nicola a few months before the wedding, over a coffee. At first one of them barely spoke and let the other do the talking. It didn’t last: half an hour later we were all laughing. They are funny, a little bit crazy, and loving them comes naturally. The opposite would be impossible.

On the day of their civil union, in the park of Villa Zaccaria in Bordolano, you could see how much they loved each other without anyone having to say it. We were moved more than once: by the speeches, by how close the brother was to them, by how many people were there for them, people who had known them all their lives.

Then the vows read with trembling voices, a violin among the trees, dinner in the villa’s halls and a party that went on late into the night.
